I GIVE UP!

You twisted enough for just a little sneak peek.

You'll need to do better than that if you want more!
Did I give you the impression it was easy to get me spill the beans?
Usually it is, but I am trying really, really, really hard.

Patty, I just can't open and re-wrap those presents.
Where's the fun in that?

Jane Austen once said
"Surprises are foolish things. The pleasure is not enhanced, and the inconvenience is often considerable.”

AHHHH, Jane Austen ... U suck!
I WANT TO SHOW YOU MORE!
Come on girls, I want to be talked into it.
Make me laugh,
Make me cry,
Inspire Camille and I to want to show you all.
We take bribes.
 Starbucks? Chocolate? Jokes?

(Don't I look happy?)

So yesterday Camille and I spent the better part of the day finishing up our kit picks.
We are definitely moving forward.
We have decided to do the 2 kits!
 A Bree Kit -
and a Camille Kit!
2 much fun!
Before we started building them I thought we were really different,
but then Camille surprised me yesterday.
She picked a paper line that I had chosen!
Maybe we're more alike than we thought.
NAH!
She does have amazing taste though....
she did pick me as a friend! lol
Or did I pick her?
Or did we just bump into each other and sparks flew and
we just knew that this was the friend for me!
The girl that would help me fulfill my destiny......
to one-day start a Scrap Kit Club,
that we would call CROP SUEY!
lol

Actually my husband picked the name.
We were driving home from visiting our parent's out of town and
we played word games the ENTIRE way home.
He's pretty clever, not to mention he's also nice to look at too.
Sorry, I got side tracked...
I told you girls I like to talk... a lot!

Hey speaking of word games....
Anyone got an idea what we should call our designers?
Should we give them a cute little name?
Or is that cheezy?

I couldn't come up with anything,
maybe you can.
HEY that sounds like a GIVE-AWAY!!
Hmmmmmm......
the wheels are turning.......

And the Winners are......

OK CAMILLE,
Leave me to do the dirty work.
Passing the buck?
LOL.
I would be honored to pick some lovely women to win some free stuff so here goes....

For the BEST comment?
I loved your feedback on the 2 kits.
We want to give you guys what YOU want so this was great!
Blogger melaniestan said...

I think 2 different kits with 2 different styles would be awesome then a again a mixed kit with 2 different personalities would be awesome too.-that is what makes scrapbooking fun.-ok-I so didn't help here-but your get the picture-don't cha!?!?!?

To be a good, new club you need a twist on kits-bring both of your styles into it. Give us kit lovers something we can't get anywhere else. A good kit get is based on style (both kit wise and design team wise)

I'm really excited to see what is up your selves-specially with the vintage finds!

the FUNNIEST comment?
This one had me giggling the whole time.
Keep the funny posts coming....love them!

Hey ladies! I'm so glad to hear you both had a great time at CHA and loved so much stuff! I think the idea of a kit for each (Camille & Bree)is wonderful. Cuz really, not everyone does have the same tastes, so maybe I would like one but another scrapper would like the other kit. So why not?!
Oh, and here's a fun little scrapper joke for ya.:)

A Scrapaholic's Confession

Author: K Haynes

(Note: CHAOS = Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome)

Bless me, Scrap Fairy, for I have sinned, I know that's hard to believe; But it's not my fault, I'm a victim, you see, Of a sickness, a curse, a disease...
They say that confession is good for the soul, But I'm not convinced that that's true. So I'll tell you my faults and shortcomings, And I'll leave the decision to you.
That scrapbooking thing has got me for sure; I start with the best of intentions! Just let me check the CK website-- Oh look! A list of conventions!
Snacking is good to help with my scrappin' Though I tend to overindulge. Cakes and cookies and chocolates galore! My bulges are starting to bulge!
Oh my! How I buy the things I don't need Eyelets and ribbons and vellums. If anyone asks, "I've had it for years!" At least, that's what I tell 'em!
A scrap room? What's that? Stuff's all over the house I suffer from *CHAOS,* you know, No one comes, no one visits, except UPS He's my very best friend, that Joe!
Buy now! It's on sale! They won't have it again! The gadgets, the papers, the glues Look at the money that I can save! How can I possibly lose???
Organization is an area where I am certainly lacking I need help with that, others say But how can I do it? I've got things to do! How can I waste a whole day?
So here I sit amongst all of my clutter Housekeeping's a thing of the past Dusting and vacuuming and tidying up What's the point??? It just doesn't last!
I have too many ideas and not enough time They say that denial is rough I have it...I know it....can't find it.... Oh well....I'll just buy some more stuff.
I know that they pay me to do a good job But this 8 to 5 job gets so stressful I need a vacation...I need to relax... And then I will be more successful!
I spend time at work doing scrapbooking things I search for a phrase or a verse The perfect layout is all that I need My addiction is more like a curse!
I tell my husband that if I should die The best thing for him to do Is to have a garage or a fire sale And be sure to include all of Y-O-U!
I guess I'm a sinner, so give me my penance And hurry! Send me on my way! I've a 40% coupon right here in my purse Oh my gosh....it expires today!

AND AS A BONUS.....

I am also giving away a special treat to

Blogger wendy said...

I like randomness of picking comments :)...gives everyone a shot.

Because Camille and I shouldn't play favorites.

( or me since I had to do all the picking.. thanks Camille.....)

You were right Wendy.  We'll try and be more random.

I just like to try and make you girls work for it.

It makes it more fun, for me anyways.....tee hee

I love the humor and the amazing feedback.

We ACTUALLY read EVERY single comment and take ALL feedback into consideration.

Without you there would be no CROP SUEY,

and then Bree would be sad,

and maybe cry,

or just wither away...

BOO HOO!

That would be a shame so keep posting girls.

WE NEED YOU!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR PLAYING,

AND STAY TUNED FOR MORE GIVE-AWAYS THIS MONTH!

And winners send us your info to shopcropsuey@gmail.com

Bree

SEE YOU TOMORROW....

I think I'm gonna have to post some sneaky peek  pics .

is it Wed already?!?!?!?!

I love reading your comments. To have you girls "growling" at us made me laugh out loud when I read it. Also, I love this comment:

Blogger P to the A to the T to the T to the Y said... I cant take the suspense, I was never good at waiting.

I used to unwrap christmas presents and re wrap them when I was younger.

First of all, that's so wrong! Do you know how much time your parents spent trying to keep those presents a surprise! That's REALLY not being able to take the suspense!!! I guess just shaking the boxes didn't give you enough satisfaction!
I've made a decision about Bree's post on Sunday! The decision is that you will have to wait for Bree to decide who is getting what (because I cannot possibly decide). So, when I post this, I will give her a call and let give her the news. She will definitely be posting tomorrow, but may decide that she cannot wait to give the stuff away and make a post later today! SORRY, I REALLY cannot decide... (maybe it's because I'm pretty tired right now)

We've been pretty busy with getting kits prepared, but mostly reviewing all the DT applications. WOW, you are a bunch of really talented women out there. How are we supposed to choose a handful out of a "boatload" of people. We are still getting new applications and that just makes the decision even more difficult. When we reveal the winners, we will also post the runners up, you need to know has not been easy. There is TONS O' Talent out there and we are truly grateful that you want to be a part of our team!

So now, one more pic from CHA. I had the chance to meet Courtney Walsh (author of Scrapbooking your Faith and a contributing editor with Memory Makers) and had my pic taken with her. You can tell that I'm smitten, my face is beaming. Oh well, it's the "first time with someone important" syndrome!!! It's only me, not Bree....but someone had to take the pic!

Well ladies...awesome ladies, keep reading this week because it's going to end with a bang. Wednesday (my mom used to call it HUMP DAY) is here already, Saturday will be upon us before we know it. I am already getting giddy with excitement at the "short list" that I've already made (if you keep sending DT appys in I will be happy to rewrite my "short list")

Until then,
Camille

VIDEO TUTORIALS COMING SOON

So today is going to be a jam-packed day of scrappy goodness!

Camille and I are getting to together to finalize our product choices and orders.
I am so excited at my picks.
I can't wait to have these new product lines in my hands so I can play!
Oooo, you guys are gonna be so happy with our choices.
We received some great vintage stuff in the mail yesterday... It's so exciting.

Hey Camille!
Are you out there?
Should I post some more sneaky peeks of our Happy Mail?
What do you guys think?
Or should we wait for the big reveal?
The anticipation is killing me.
I can't wait until there is less time in between reveals.  This is killing me slowly.
And as you all know I love to talk, and keep quiet is not something I 'm not very good at.
I'm sure you guys are going to talk me into spilling the beans.
Each and every comment I read just make s me want to shout it out!

LOOK HERE! LOOK AT ALL THE FUN STUFF!

So please don't leave comments trying to twist my arm into telling you.
Please don't try and convince me to post more photos,
cuz I might be broken easier than you might think.
Please don't try bribing me with kind words and compliments,
because I'll probably BUST!
Just ask Camille.
She needed that well deserved "staycation" while I was out of town,
just to let her ears recover from all the constant  Bree chatter. lol

Have I told you that I love to give away freebies?
With more twisting and turning I might also be convinced to give away some more stuff.
So don't leave me any comments,
because I know you like surprises,
and you don't want me to give anymore  prizes out.
Right?

OKAY! So did you read the title today?
That's right!
We are gonna start bringing you some scrappy tutorials.
What do you guys think?
I know when I've picked up a mag or book and I see something really cool
I want to see how it's done.
I want to see what's new and what's hot in the Scrappy world.
So keep watching the blog cause we are going to start bringing you some
great videos starring.....
US!
(this is us in Chicago after our "power" shopping trip)

I think I might even be able to talk some of our
 NEW DESIGN TEAM MEMBERS
into posting a few too.
What do you guys think?

Did you submit to our DESIGN TEAM CALL?

Do you want a free kit?

Do you want to help us post on this crazy blog?

Do you want to help us post some great tutorials?

Do you want to be featured in the Gallery every month?

Don't forget Friday is the cut-off date!

WE WILL BE ANNOUNCING OUR NEW TEAM ON SATURDAY!

Oh oh! Did I reveal too much Camille?
When I get talking, I get excited, and then I start spewing out uncontrollably.
Did i give anything away?

I better stop before I get myself in trouble.

TTYL,
Bree

it's all for you (yes, you staring at the screen)!

Ok, so I'm beginning with a few comments for you girls, ladies, awesome women out there! First of all (it's Camille here!), I love reading your posts. I always sneak down to my studio when I get a moment to read any new comments. Whenever I sneak down I can hear my son upstairs saying "Dad, where's mom? Do you know? Is she working AGAIN?" and when I come upstairs (after my brief 10 minute retreat, my son says "Mom I missed you SOOOOO much, I thought you went to Chicago again!!!" This makes me laugh because, in an odd little way I was in my own Chicago-CHA!!!
I'm digressing (which I tend to do alot -I love tangents!) Thank you to "marcie" for your comment. I am all over the map when it comes to conversation; which is why I have learned to hold my tongue when I know that I have a million things on my mind...what could come out may be dangerous and not understandable. Also, to "Kimmys" -I totally hear you on the Bampop...but there is a home for that product (it's just not mine). And "sheryl" thanks for the compliments. Actually, your comments have really added to my days. I was not huge into blogging before we started CROP SUEY...now I feel I have so many awesome friends. I really should have listened to Bree when she said it was truly addictive so many months ago... Bree -thank you!

Anyhow, this post was for YOU (sounds like a bad imitation of a Budweiser commercial). Thanks for being supportive and helping us to mold our kits to better suit you. Because really, let's face it...we're doing this to make you happy. I love making people happy (and I say that sincerely).

As an aside, Bree and I will now be taking turns posting. So you will see more banter going back and forth between the two of us...love y'all.

Hey Girls! I'm Baaaack!

Hey Everyone.
Did you miss me as much as I missed you?
Not possible!

First of all I want to say Thanks to my lovely partner in crime , Camille, for taking the reins while I was on holidays.  You are amazing and I couldn't do any of this without you.

Here are a few pics of us and Tim Holtz,

and Ali Edwards at CHA!

Yes, that's me talking in the photo.  I never stop.  I think Camille needed that well deserved "staycation" away from Bree after 4 days of my lips going non-stop.  Can you blame her! lol.
CHA was a blast. You can read more about it on my blog.   But back to work!
 ANY HOO.....

So as you have probably read we are sooo excited and having soooo much fun getting these kits together.  CHA was a blast and Camille and I just can't decide on just one kit for each month.  Can you blame us?  So we're thinking of offering 2 kits.  You heard me!
TWO KITS!
So we were hoping you could fill our comment box with your opinions.
What do you think?
A Camille kit!
A Bree kit?

We discovered that we both love completely different paper lines and products.
We  both don't want to compromise or give up our favorites.
UGH!
Soo what do you all think?
Can't wait to hear what you guys have to say.

Hmmmmm. Should we give away a prize for
the BEST comment?
the FIRST comment?
the LAST comment?
the FUNNIEST comment?

or how about ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Ok.  I haven't told Camille about this..

But what the hay.  Let's do it!
We got soo many goodies from the show that I just have to share!
I will select winners on Wednesday...
So get talking girls!
Here are some sneak peeks of the prizes....

Saturday, July 26, 2008

oooooh, I love it all....

I've decided that it's going to be impossible to fit all the product I want into the premier kit! I could try and put a little of everything (but I know that wouldn't be wise). So, I've decided to plan ahead. Now that's thinking!!!! If I spend much more time doing this I will have all the kits planned out for the next couple of years (yes, there are that many cool products that I absolutely love).

Now that my studio is organized and I can find my workspace I am hoping to get creative again. Bree and I are planning to get scrappin' soon and so we'll post some of our creations. It will be nice to see what y'all think of what happens when our "creative juices" flow.

By the way, the zoo was awesome yesterday. We completely exhausted the kids and, as a result, they are still sleeping. Yesterday was one of those days that just flowed...it was great!

We have a winner!!!!

I am so happy today, I woke up this morning to find that 20 minutes before I logged in someone posted the 51st comment (and I thought I was getting up early at 6:30).
The WINNER IS....

I just happened to find your blog and I am so anxious to see your new kit in September!

Congratulations, there's nothing like just happening to find anything and then finding out that you won! "cmyers", we need you to contact us one more time to get your pertinent info. Also, the mystery second RAK goes to...
wendy said...

Well I'll leave #1 comment to get the ball going :-).

I can't wait to see all the fun stuff you saw...sigh...I love CHA time!

Sounds like you both had a great time and hopefully Bree will get lots of rest :)

So that's what I have to do today...get to the post office! Congratulations and thanks for all the support.
Bree is now home, she called me when she got in last night. After being gone for more than a week, the (almost) first thing she does is call me...I feel so special. It's funny how much we are alike, I would do the same thing! So now the work begins, we are going to be busy this week. Look for the website to be up and running soon. It's in the works and I am anxious to see the final product.
My husband is taking a day off today and we are going to the zoo with the fam...the kids will be sleeping well tonight!!!! Have a great weekend and do something fun with your family today (it doesn't have to cost money...just time!)

A surprise twist...

Ok, so one of the comments yesterday was to give something away to someone other than the 51st comment. I am running with that idea and giving it my own twist.
We are going to add a second winner to whoever comments on "We're back from CHA". Then when we reach the 51st comment, I will post the winner and a second person who will also be getting something (kinda like "Live with Regis and Kelly" when someone from the audience randomly wins.) So, don't despair, we are getting so close and I look forward to posting the winners tomorrow (or sooner).

Enjoy your day, Bree is home tomorrow and so you will be hearing from her soon too. I'm going out and spending a morning with my kids!

Organizing and Choosing

I've been up all night thinking about how we need to organize our office area. I am a bit compulsive when it comes to organizing, but take comfort in the fact that Bree it too. I was organizing in my head where everything would go. You know how the saying goes, a place for everything and everything in its place. Unfortunately we are nowhere near that, and our office area is, well...a disaster area! But, it's a good disaster because it's filled with everything we LOVE!

Here's a little something, for teasers. It's stuff that we've begun collecting. Some pics of the vintage stuff will follow later.

The part I am really looking forward to is ordering the new stuff! Shopping, shopping, shopping, then sending it to all of you...I am really looking forward Bree coming home. For now, I'm organizing, but soon I will be organized and ready to move onto the next thing on the list....

Keep sending in your posts, I look forward to sending out our RAK!

Cleaning up...

After a couple of days home, I am finally feeling like I'm organized again. All the catalogs that we brought back really weighed us down. But now, as I'm going through all the new catalogs, I know that the HEAVY loads were worth it for Bree and I (I paid for an exta bag at the airport and Bree didn't -she saved money and I saved a sore shoulder...not sure which is the better option).
So, my husband read my last post and commented, "why were you taking pictures of your feet?" Then it occured to me that you may be wondering the same thing. So, here is the attempted cool feet picture (which only supports the word "attempt" and proves that I really do have non-photogenic feet)

Now, for a better picture. Here is what is going to the 51st comment on the post "We're back from CHA". Keep reading and pictures of all the people we met will be coming soon.

We're back from CHA!

WOW...what a whirlwind trip to Chicago.

Bree and I just got back from CHA and we are so excited about all the new paper and products that are coming out. Tons of "vintagy" stuff and some really cool new items. We spent so much time researching and checking everything out that we are exhausted. We met so many people and cannot wait to post the pics. I cannot post the pics until later this week because all the great pics are on Bree's camera and she is on holidays with her family until Thursday. She flew home and connected onto another flight to meet up with her fam...(when I left her she was really tired and I pray that she is able to get some good sleep tonight).

...I could post some of my pics, but you would only get some attempted "cool" pics of my feet (...which really isn't so cool!)

After having met and strategized we have so many amazing directions that the kit club is going to take and we think you are really going to like it.

First things first, we are GIVING AWAY STUFF!!!!

We are going to send a gift to the person who leaves the 51st comment on this post. There's only one rule, you cannot send in 50 comments prior to being the 51st comment. So, go tell your girlfriends...tell anyone to come read our blog and leave a comment. The gift will be revealed once the 51st comment is left. I hope to have to send out the package tomorrow!

Stay posted for daily updates of our CHA trip. Until then...

Wanna know more?

So I had the urge and went shopping again today.
Whoo Hoo. We hit the mother-load.
Tons of vintage buttons and lace.
I even got some really cool vintage asian treats, but you'll have to order the Premier kit to see what I'm talking about.
I am soo excited I want to share it all....
But wait... half the fun is in the Surprises...

I have been going through  the Design  Team applications.
I am overwhelmed with the amount of talent out there.
You are all so incredibly gifted and I can't wait too see who gets picked.
It's going to be a close and tight race Ladies.

Thank you for all who have submitted so far for our Design Team call.
The deadline is fast approaching so keep scrapping.

WHEN THE CAT'S AWAY...

THE MOUSE WILL PLAY...

So Camille is on Vacation with her gorgeous Family... so I'm going to give you a little sneaky peek of some of the vintage goodies I've picked up.  I know she won't mind...tee hee...

Now keep in mind.  these are only a few I want to share.... there are more... lots more.  And we are heading to CHA / Chicago in 9 days to search out the perfect paper, embellishments and anything pretty we can get our paws on.. (that was a funny i thought... cat..  mouse.. paws...).   lol

We have already pre-ordered our stamps from an AMAZING company... which we will share with you later.  I cannot wait to get stamping.  And wowsers.... This is gonna to be the best place to get those crazy hard to find kits  that we have all been dying to have in our stashes.

NOTE:  There will only be a limited number of kits available for our First month (September) So keep checking back for more announcements on Design Team Winners, Premier Kit Reveal Dates and more.

We really want to find those hard to find items, those vintage goodies, those to-die-for papers that YOU want.  So keep sending us comments as to what you would like to see in our kits.  And keep on spreading the word.
The FREE PREMIER KIT is still up for grabs.... So make sure you leave a comment and tell us who showed you the way and you will be entered.

And the winner of the book is....

holly said...

An occasional project kit would be great (mini-books, banners, etc.). I can't get enough of project kits, and nobody really seems to have them very often anymore.

EMAIL me at shopsropsuey@gmail.com with your info and I will send it off to you asap.

Thanks for the all the LUB!
