Another layout...

with my February kit.

This month has been very busy for me, more than expected. And I unfortunately haven't had as much time to work with my kit as I would have wanted. I'll find some time to do so soon, I hope.

Here is a LO I did last week.

In the little bubble, it says: " I talk all the time!"

See ya!

I am Humbled!

Hello Everyone!
Well we are ALL sick here! I have not had a free moment to play with my February kit! Plus I have had no Mojo:). It's pretty bad when you are trying to heal yourself, while your trying to heal your family. It has completely drained me! So I decided to show you 2 cards I made for 2 special people here at Crop Suey:) Now go easy... I am not a card maker! LOL I think I have made like one!:)
One for the Lovely Bree who had a Birthday a few weeks back! And one for the Beautiful Kristina who had a Birthday last Wednesday, and who is celebrating with a Huge Bash this weekend on the Beach! Which I could not attend:(

So I assume this will be my last post here at Crop Suey:( I'm so sad!! Thank you so much Bree & Camille for a slice of your little Heaven for the last 6 months! I have good vibes about your little out of the box kit club:) I will miss you ALL! I will be back to visit and hopefully Camille & Bree will still need me from time to time to help with Crops or Whatever. I will always be a Crop Chick!
Thanks for all your wonderful Support and Comments throughout the last 6 months ladies!! They have truly inspired me and I have appreciated them all! And I am Humbled! It has been a wonderful journey here and I am glad that my first DT was here! As I step down from my post here. I Welcome a NEW Design Team:) Full of Inspiration and Creativity for everyone to enjoy! Cosmo Cricket....

www.cosmocricket.com.gif

Have you seen this...

Yup one of the Designers over at Scrapping Across the Universe, Deana
pointed it out to us,
Yup. That's Camille and me at a recent event here in Edmonton.
We'll be sharing more about all the fun stuff that happened,
people we met..  Products we love...
and get this... some BIG SPONSORS!

But you'll have to stay tuned for that starting Monday!

Thanks for the shout out Cosmo Cricket...
Crop Suey hearts you!

Bree

Hi there girls! It's Deanna here with my last project for Crop Suey. :( So sad that it's come to an end, but excited for what the future has in store for both Camille and Bree as well as Crop Suey! Can't wait to see it grow! :D

When I got my February kit, I fell in looove with all the fun "boy" things from the Fancy Pants line. And well, as you know, I don't have any boys. BUT I do have a husband who very kindly endures my endless scrapbooking projects. Since I'd made our girls some Valentine mailboxes, I thought why not make one for him too. So using some of the cards, rubons and such from my kit, I finished up the mailbox that I'd started for him.

Here's the finished product!

A shot with the side in plain view:

I handcut the heart from the backside of one the vintage Valentines in the kit. I plan to put his name on it, just hadn't gotten around to it quite yet. I also used the FP rub-ons for the front, which I just love! They're so fun and whimsical! I had a lot of fun making this little project. It was fast and easy, and it's ready to go for next year!

Lastly I just want to take a quick minute to say thanks to Camille and Bree for giving me the opportunity to design with their kits. They're fun and quirky (both the girls and the kits! LOL!), and I love that they're not your average kit or kit club! There's always fun treasures found inside! Thank you both for giving me this experience! It's been so fun!

My final post...:(

Well, it's my final Wednesday blogging and scrapping on the dt for Crop Suey. I feel so privileged to have been on the first ever dt for this great kit club. Bree and Camille were so wonderful to work for and I had so much fun playing with the kits every month.
I love all the wonderful ladies that I had the pleasure of being on the dt with this time around....
I know I have made new friends and blog buddies that I will continue to keep in touch with.
Here are my final two projects that I made with the February kit.

First, I made a card for Valentine's Day....

and I also made another layout....

I will still stop by to visit all the time! :)

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Hey there everybody - Happy Tuesday! It's Michelle here with my last blog post for Crop Suey! I have had so much fun being here with you every Tuesday for the last six months! It's been a blast!

So I want to leave you with one last layout - made with the February "Cocoa Critters" kit. It's a 6"x12" of my good old buddy Willie who seems to have never-ending patience for me and my camera... Everything is from the kit except the orange plaid gaffer tape and the spray ink behind the photo. Oh - and the little brad in the center of the flower on top of Willie's hat! The look on Willie's face just makes me giggle. I hope you like it!

Thank you Bree and Camille for this awesome opportunity! And thanks to all the crop-chicks and blog readers for making this such a fun place to be!

Have a fantastic, inspired week everyone!

Sorry...

Yesterday got away from me. My hubby stayed home and filled my birthday with fun stuff to do...:)
I have to finish up my layout later today and I will post in the morning...Thanks for your patience! :)

Enjoying every bite!

Hi there girls! It's me, Deanna, again, and I'm bringing you a sweet little treat from my February kit, Camille's Conversation Hearts.

"Enjoying Every Bite"

This is a layout that I needed to get done. It's of my dd's 2nd b'day, and I'm ashamed to say that she just turned 3. ANYWAY, I loved the colors of the Pink Paislee papers so I went with it. My favorite part of the LO though is the center of the flower. I love those little beads-on-stick or whatever you call them! I just replace the brad that was holding the Prima Lollipop together with those little guys, twisted their stems together, punched a hole all the way through the papers, and used their stems like a giant brad. (Hope you followed that!) You can kinda get a better look here:

The journaling is hard to read, but it's a quote from one of CurlyGirl's cards, and it says, "She has had her cake, declared it delicious, and is enjoying every bite!" I loved that quote, and as soon as I read it, knew the perfect pictures to go with it!

Anyway, I hope you girls are having a great week! The weekend's almost here! woohoo!
Hope you have a great one! :D

1, 2, 3, 4...

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's Michelle here again with another layout from the February "Cocoa Critters" kit! I used the kit for the current challenge over at Scrapping the Music. The song this week is "1, 2, 3, 4" by the Plain White T's, and it's tons of fun!

Everything I used here is from the kit. The journaling is lyrics from the song. The numbers "1, 2, 3, 4" and words "I Love You" are hand-drawn and cut from the patterned paper that comes with the kit...
This kit has so many possibilities! I love the eclectic mix of papers and embellies! I hope you like the layout!

Have a great week and I will see you back here next Tuesday!

Love Banner

Yeah!!!!!!!!!! My kit finally came!!!!!!

Look at the before pic of this banner. I think it was $2 at Target. But, I have been holding on to it, to "repurpose" it........and this kit is just the perfect fit!

Then, I used this Cosmo Cricket Blackboard Album (well, it's supposed to be an album, but if you just use the pieces......viola! It's a banner!)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey guys! Kim here.

Hope you're having a great Valentine's Day if you're celebrating it!

If you don't... I hope you're having a nice saturday too! lol!

I've been playing with this month's kit. I tell you it's a lovely one!
I came up today with a layout I really love.

Here it is (even if the photo of my layout really sucks...)

The flower is made with "papier crêpé". Don't know the right term in English, but this paper is usually used for birthday's decoration...

The hearts are made with some metallic paper I recycled from a coffee tin. They are fun to make!

So that's it for now. See you!

Gimme one night!

Hey girls it's Deanna! I just wanted you guys to know that I've just now received my Feb. kit, as in 30 min. ago and it's fabulous!!! I've got soo many ideas running through my head that I've got to write them all down! But also, I just got home from a looooong morning chasing my kiddos at the Children's Museum. It turns out that this week DH's family all decided to visit,so our schedule's really packed with dinners, playdates and such. BUT if you'll gimme one night to work up something fun with this kit, I'll post my stuff tomorrow. ;) I can't wait to get some "me" time tonight and play with it!

Hope you're having a great day! :D
See ya tomorrow!

Another rainy day...

here in California. Which means a cozy fire, cuddles with the kiddos and some crafty time. I am having so much fun with this kit. I am trying to savor it as it is my last dt member kit. I am only going to show you bits and pieces through out the month. :)
I adore the colors in this kit and I really think it is amazingly diverse.
Here is the latest layout that I made with the Cocoa Kritters kit.

Isn't that cameo so gorgeous?
I hope everyone has a happy Valentine's Day and I will be back to post some Valentine's that I made next week. I'll be back next wednesday, My 30th birthday!!!! :)

I'm Twitterpated with Cocoa Critters!

Hey there everyone! Michelle here, and I'm so excited because I got some time last night to play with my Cocoa Critters kit, and I'm totally in love with it! The "Twitterpated" papers are so adorable! Their fun, happy style made me think of my friend Analisa, so here's what I came up with...Absolutely everything is from the kit! The fox was stamped with stazon ink and then colored with a white colored pencil (and a little pink for his cheeks). The sun and arrow are hand-drawn on patterned paper from the kit.

I can't wait to play with the kit some more - I've already got another idea!

I hope you have a super fun and creative week and I will see you again next Tuesday!

hi

hi everyone!

Kim here.

I received my kit Thursday and I must say I think it's my favorite so far! Loving subtle patterns, this kit is perfect for me!

I haven't had the time to play with it yet, but I'll still show you a layout I did a little while ago with bits and pieces of a kit I bought here a few months ago. I'm not sure which month it is... but here is my LO.

Have a great week!

2 Great Minds think alike!

Well I got my February Kit in the mail! It's quite Awesome:) Well haven't they all been!:) I haven't really had time to play with it yet:( I probably won't get a chance until tomorrow. Or it could appear that I already have played with it! LOL

Bree and I are way too much alike when it comes to Scrapping materials! I purchased this Imaginesce line last month while in a Detroit. And can I just say this is the 3RD TIME!!! Yes... I have purchased the kit contents on 3 different occasions! Not on purpose of course, before the kit was released and I knew what it contained! Another reason I will Deeply Miss Designing for this Awesome Establishment:)
So if you haven't got your kit yet...Go get one:) or if you haven't checked out the new February kit...Go check it out:)
I will leave you with 2 LO's the first one has the materials from the kit, that I haven't had a chance to enjoy yet:)

and the 2nd is one that I did this week for my Valentine:)

Have a great weekend everyone! And Hey I hope the weather will be nice for everyone around the country finally! It's suppose to be in the 40's here! It's a Heat Wave:)

*Oh and Bree I made you a Birthday card:) I will be sending it your way soon! Just want to take a pic and post it. However time keeps eluding me:)*

a little Christmas flashback

I can't wait to get my Feb. kit in the mail, I'm anxiously stalking my mailman (I'm sure you know the feeling). So instead, I made this LO as one last nod to Christmas before I get going on my Valentine stuff when it gets here.

When brainstorming this LO, my inspiration actually came from the red sequins first. Even though I'm sure that Camille didn't intend for her January kit, Jazz Cafe, to be at all Christmas-y, the sequins reminded me a lot like holly berries, so I went with it. Then I grabbed a sketch from Becky Fleck, and went to work. And voila! There you have it. I never thought that starting with inspiration from an embellishment would leave me with a LO that I like. But I do! Hope you do too. ;)

Hope you girls are hanging in there with all the cold weather! If it's cold here (only in the 20s) I KNOW it's freeeeezing in Canada and everywhere else in the US for that matter! Stay warm and have a great Thursday everybody! :D

A Birthday Gift for Bree...

Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone! Michelle here! I just received my February kit yesterday and it's a doozy! Soooooo CUTE! Oh my word! The colors and the textures and the adorable little animals on the papers! I love it! Since I just got it I haven't had time to make anything with it yet - that will have to wait til next week. I do have something to share with you tho!

In case you didn't know, it was Bree's birthday on Sunday! Happy Birthday Bree!!! Here's a little gift I made for her. The pink woodgrain paper is from the January Tea and Sweet Cake kit... The black and white background paper is vintage Jenni Bowlin and the owls and stripes are from Scrapdiary. The title letters are hand drawn and cut.

Bree - it's coming to you soon!

I can't wait to dig into my February kit - have you seen them? If not race right over to the Crop Suey store and pick one (or two) up! They won't last long!

I will be back next week with a project with the new kit. Until then - happy scrapping my friends!

Paris Hilton, seriously?

Ok, so I could not help but post about this one?!

I had the pleasure of going to CHA, mostly for the sake of planning/finalizing details for the Scrap ETC event! Now, let me say, I love love love going to CHA, and I always come home feeling so full of ideas and inspiration!

That being said, I can't WAIT to get my Crop Suey kit, because I have some super cute ideas and pics that I am dying to get put down!!

But............Paris Hilton?! Really! Wow! I mean, I know that alot of people try to "maximize" in the scrapbook industry, but really! Come on! Anyways, she was cute enough, but her stuff, well, not so much!

Yes, there was a crowd..........and a big one, flashes going off everywhere, people lined up, ready to get a glimpse, and we were right there with them, just because it was a fun thing to do!

So, that's all for now. Officially stalking my mail carrier! Waiting for the kit!
