April Challenge!!

Welcome to our APRIL challenge here at Crop Suey!!

This challenge is kinda bittersweet for me as it is the last challenge for this dt term :(

We challenge you to get homemade and scrappy for your scrappy project/layout/card or whatever you choose to do!

*make homemade embellies using scraps!*

Be sure to link your lo up in the comments section on THIS post to be eligible to win the prize from our fabulous sponsor! You have until midnight EST on April 20th to play along!

Crop Suey's fabulous design team came up with this:

I love to make hand made roses from scraps of fabric or ribbon :) This one is made from a pink spotty ribbon scrap!!

This one is made from scrap canvas fabric :)

Thank you so much for having me Mia :) xoxo

I cut stars from scraps and used them as masks.

I used some of my many bits of rubons that I keep. I layered many rubons from Basic Grey and some mismatch alphabet scrap rubons. Also had a scrap piece of bingo card and bits of scraps for the edge paper.

Mara

I punched circles from my scraps to make these spiral flowers!!

I made a card for this challenge. I used up a bunch of scraps of ribbon too - bonus!!
The embellishments I made are the spiral flower and the stick pin butterflies. I love the idea of stick pin embellies, but find the bulk is often more than I want in an album or card envelope, so I pulled out my mini punches and used the Fiskars butterfly one to punch several butterflies. Then I layered them up, hot glued them sandwiching a stick pin between 2 layers, then coated them in Diamond Glaze and this is the result.

I like it fine and will be making more, you can be sure! Stars, flowers, and hearts just for a start!

Heather
I made handmade flowers my cutting scalloped spirals and the twisting them around a small tip. I used an Imaginisce petal roller but you could use anything small to roll it around. Check back later this month for a few tips on making homeade flowers.

Here's my LO. I created a banner by cutting out stars from a patterned paper and adding ink and brads.
